I was watching TCM a day or two ago and jumped in right in the middle of a movie. But I had to go before it ended. I really want to watch the rest of the movie, but I don’t know it’s name!
Ok, this movie was about this blonde girl who really wanted to surf. She went out on someones surfboard and nearly drowned but was saved by this guy, Moondoggie. She also met this ‘Beach Bum’ guy who’s name was Kahuna. There were A lot of young men at the beach, all without shirts. And very cute. They were all surfer dudes. She was determined to learn how to surf. So as she is leaving the beach, she sees a sign saying something like’ Ask Stinky about buying surfboards.’ So she asks Stinky how much the surfboards are he says that a used one is something like 25$.
She uses up half her alowance, begs the rest off her dad, and buys herself a surfboard. She gets to know the guys at the beach and falls in love with the guy, Moondoggie. The guys nicnamed her ‘Gidget.’ She was 17 and was begging Kahuna to go to this party, but had to bribe him. I think that, before I had to turn it off, she was paying this guy to escort her to the party and make Moondoggie jelous. That is all I remember. I really want to see this movie, so if you could help me, it would be awesome of you.
